The Nashville Event Collective

Finally, I have a chance to sit down and tell you about the Nashville Event Collective, which is the new space I am now a part of starting this month! And of course I keep singing this to the tune of Black And Yellow “Brick and mortal, brick and mortar….”

I am (obviously) over the moon excited and giddy of all the possibilities I have before me at this point. Slow and steady, friends. So, without further adieu, here is the information for my new office location!

1900 Eastland Avenue Nashville Tennessee

The Interior Maven, LLC, just signed a lease to become a part of The Nashville Event Collective located at 1900 Eastland Avenue in East Nashville.

If you are not immediately familiar with that address, I’m sure these few names will jog your memory…..

Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams (hello, immediate $25 down the hatch per week)….

The Wild Cow (my favorite vegan restaurant)….

Graze Nashville (my new favorite plant-based restaurant!)….

Welcome Home (the most adorable little home store across the courtyard from us)….

Rosepepper (the delicious restaurant & “tequila specialist” across the street with the famous signs that change their quips constantly)….

….and the newest addition (which will be dangerously close – next door to us!) is the new location for FIVE DAUGHTERS BAKERY! (hello, donuts + 10 winter lbs)

If you are from here, then you now understand why this was so exciting for me! This is an area that I have been frequenting for a few years now. I take guests to this strip of town, I take my kids there for their birthday, I go here on a girls’ night out, I live *maybe* 10 minutes away.

IT. IS. PERFECTION.

I took the family by there this weekend and snapped some quick shots with my iPhone of the space, and of the kids checking it all out, so pardon the rough photos, but I know everyone was asking to see it!

Now that you know the location, I can introduce you to the idea of the shared office space I am leasing. I am currently sharing an entire office space (including kitchen + bathroom + workspace + receiving area) with two other wonderful ladies.

The person heading this up is Abigail Volkmann of Abigail Volkmann Photography. She produces the most beautiful portraits that I get to see hanging in the space and featured online. And you know I love some excellent photography to drool over!

She had a brilliant idea, after moving to Nashville back in the winter, to open up a space that included a small number of creative entrepreneurs that could share space and have a location for client meetings, quiet working space, visibility in town and also  a place to collaborate. And it is such a beautiful space that she and her husband worked very hard on!

The other person who uses the space just as regularly as Abigail is Laurie Montgomery who runs Fanciful Ink. She is a calligrapher + designer who illustrates wedding invitation suites and much more! She is AMAZING at her work. I met Laurie and Abigail on the same day and they were so wonderful that I could have stayed and chatted all day long. Definitely go check both of them out!

My next step is to slowly move my product and sample books/boxes and store them in my storage space for clients. Abigail and Laurie are there a lot on the weekend and evenings for bride meetings and I will be there a lot during the weekdays once the kids start back to school this week. I will be taking appointments there, writing there, working on design projects and would love it if a friend wanted to plan to meet me at one of my favorite places in the strip for lunch some days or even an evening out after work.

Thank you to everyone for your excitement for me on this journey, it has meant so much to me! Being a solo-preneur gets pretty lonely, as I mentioned in an earlier post this year, so this came along at just the right time! I now have these two wonderful women to chat with, work side-by-side with at times, and possibly collaborate with on projects in the future.

Cheers! xoxo
